Turtle maintains a security-first posture across every layer of the protocol. Funds remain in user custody at all times. Turtle never holds, custodies, or controls user assets.
Smart contract audits
Turtle’s smart contracts have been audited by independent security firms. The Streams contract system was audited by Cantina in January 2026. Additional audits cover the Drip contract and core protocol infrastructure. Full reports are available on the Audit Reports page.
Independent proof of solvency
Turtle’s featured vaults are independently verified by Accountable, a leading on-chain solvency verification provider. Each verification confirms that reported TVL matches actual on-chain holdings.
Due diligence process
Every opportunity surfaced through Turtle goes through a structured diligence review. The review covers technical risk, smart contract exposure, operational risk, and curator assessment. A diligence report is published for each featured vault.
Self-custody guarantee
Users retain full control of their assets at all times. Turtle generates unsigned transactions that users sign and submit from their own wallets. No private keys are shared with or accessible by Turtle.
