# What is Turtle?

> Turtle is a Distribution Protocol that connects DeFi yield opportunities with the partners and platforms that distribute them.

Turtle is a Distribution Protocol for DeFi yield.

The protocol connects 1,600+ vault opportunities across 20+ chains with the distribution partners, platforms, and developers that surface them to end users. Distribution partners integrate once and access the full vault catalog through a single API. Deposits are attributed on-chain to the partner that sourced them, and partners earn recurring revenue share on attributed TVL. Over 275,000 wallets have registered through the network. Users retain full custody of their assets at all times.
